Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th! Have a fun and safe day. But as you are barbecuing tonight or watching fire works just take a minute to thank God that you are blessed to live in this country. I think too much we take our freedoms for granted. Last year I spent the 4th in Africa. It was a real humbling experience. Not everyone in the world think as fondly about our country as we do.
Ion Fount

So this is my second post about Ion Fount. Ion Fount is a local band from here in Durango, CO. My friend Ian Kelly is the lead singer. Ian is an am amazing singer I think he sounds like a cross between Kirk Coban and Bob Dylan. And the other two band members are amazing for a couple of young lads. Cody is an incredible bassiest for a guy that just got out of high school. And John the drummer, well he is just amazing. These guys decribe their music as heavy post acoustic rock. I am not quite sure what that means. But all I am sure of is these guys rock. So check them out on Myspace. If you like them enough to buy their CD drop me a line.
