A Not So Certain Journey

The Da Vinci Debacle

May 19, 2006 · Leave a Comment

So I am not going unlike you think I am not going to rant about the Da Vinci Code. I feel that enough has been said. All I am going to say is that whether you plan to see the film or not take all of the hype with a grain of salt. And just know that the film is base on a fiction book. If I learn one thing in Elementary school, I learned that fictions books are based on fiction.

One more thing….

I know that movie critics are never always right about how good a movie is or isn’t,

(that’s why I like Rotten Tomatoes) but check out what the critics say about this movie. Da Vinci code got a 16% on RT. Which is pretty low. I feel like this is just another
Hollywood flop! I don’t think I will waste my $8 on a bunch of hype, I rather spend it on fufu coffee.

Favorite time of the year

May 19, 2006 · Leave a Comment

If you have been reading my blog in the last couple weeks you might observe on thing, that I am totally random. That is just how I am. Those of you that know me know how off the wall I can be. I think that is just my brain works. I’ll be thinking about one thing, then something else. Call if ADD if you want, just call it life. I tend to get on specific kicks. Right now I am on a sports kick. I am a huge sports fan, but sometimes I get so busy that I just don’t get the opportunity to keep up with my favorite teams. But this is one of my favorite parts of the year in a sports sense. I mean baseball is in full swing, you have NBA playoff, NHL playoff (hard to believe they are playing this year), and this summer with the World Cup. This time of the year is like Christmas for sports fans.

So down to the meat and potatoes of my post. So I am not a big NBA fan except for the playoffs. This year is especially good. I have been watching the Dallas Mavs as well as the Cleveland Cavs games. They have been amazing!

Game 5: Mavs v. Spurs, was especially good. If you haven’t heard yet Jason Terry was suspended for Game 6 for agedly punching a Spurs player. Believe what you want. I think it doesn’t matter and the Mavs with clinch tonight. I mean Terry is a quality player but has only averaged 17 points in this series. So I think the Mavs will be ok without  him. I also think the Cavs will win tonight. Say what you will about LeBron. Jordonesic? Only time will tell. But one think for sure is the these games ought to be good.

Arsenal Lose! Oh no!

May 19, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Let’s face it soccer (or football by it proper name) is not that popular in the
US , but for the rest of the world football is life. Last night the final match of the Champions League was in played in
Paris. I have to admit I did not what the game. I half watched the Mavs, Spurs game (Mavs lost). But anyway while I was in
Kenya last summer I learn to appreciate soccer, and learn a lot about Arsenal. But last night Arsenal could not get past
Barcelona. So there is a little world sports blurb for you. By the way the World Cup is only two weeks away. Go
USA!
